Tomeu Gomila

Melodies from the Island, Echoes from the World

Born in Mallorca, Tomeu Gomila is a self-taught accordionist, vocalist, and musical storyteller whose work bridges island traditions with global influences. His musical roots trace back to sacred choral singing and piano studies at the historic Lluc Monastery, and deepen through the ancestral songs passed down by his grandmother and uncle, keepers of Mallorcan oral heritage.

In Barcelona, he expanded his musical language through blues and rock improvisation at the Taller de Músics, while continuing to explore his instrument with fierce independence—he has been mastering the accordion for over 30 years.

Tomeu’s journey has led him across Europe, performing with theater troupes and contemporary circus companies, always seeking new ways to tell stories through sound.

Today, he is dedicated to crafting fusion arrangements that blend Mediterranean roots with Persian traditions, bringing ancient voices into fresh dialogue.

José M. Puigserver

Ancestral Sounds of the Undefined Proto-Man

José M. Puigserver, known as “Puter,” is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and sonic explorer with over 30 years of musical activism under his belt. A restless creative force, his signature instrument—the electric bass—has carried him across major European stages and festivals including Festimad, FIB, and Primavera Sound, alongside bands like Satellites, The Marzipanman, and Orquidea.

Beyond bass, Puter’s arsenal includes double bass, charango, guitar, kantele, and a range of traditional percussions. His musical DNA is rooted in experimental rock and noise, but his voice expands fearlessly across genres—embracing jazz, world music, flamenco, tango, and hip-hop.

His current project, Muqawama, is a bold collaboration with Algerian rapper and chef Rabah Ourrad, where funk, rap, and North African rhythms merge with Mallorcan musical traditions to create a sound that is both earthy and electrifying.

Puter also composes soundtracks for theatre and film with collectives like La Perifèrica and Kimera Films, and works closely with visual artists such as Veru Iché and Rafel Joan, blending music with performance art. As a producer and sound designer, he crafts and polishes audio at his own recording studio in Palam, where his projects come to life.
